Tambov regional local lore Museum

Tambov regional local lore Museum, one of the oldest provincial museums in Russia, was founded in 1879, the 100th anniversary of the Tambov governorship. The Museum's collection are documentary Fund, including unique editions and documents of the XVII-XVIII centuries; paintings and drawings; decorative arts, weapons, Ethnography, archaeology, natural science collection. The Museum is held the scientific-practical conference, seminars, Museum biennials, festivals, concerts. Implemented major regional and inter-regional exhibition, scientific and educational, Museum and educational projects, including in a multimedia format. A number of projects supported by grants of the Tambov region administration, Russian Foundation for Humanities, the President of the Russian Federation.
