Sheremetev Castle, Mari El

The castle, designed by German architect Rudolf Muller in the late Neo-Gothic style, also has features of Gothic, Oriental, Romanesque and Old Russian styles. The Sheremetev estate has a large park area. Many tourists are fascinated by the architecture and decoration of St. Michael's Cathedral. Now the manor is being restored, part of the premises is transferred to the hotel complex. Accommodation in the castle of the XIX century is already interesting. There are traditional and interactive excursions to the main house of the Sheremetevs' castle, the manor, the church of Michael the Archangel and the forest park zone. Individual tourist services have been introduced. Folk art master classes are favored. Skobelev readings in memory of the brave and invincible Russian commander are held annually in the castle apartments.
