M.A.SHOLOKHOV NATIONAL MUSEUM-RESERVE

The museum preserves everything that is connected with the writer's life and work: letters, manuscripts, memorabilia, houses where he lived, nature, farms depicted in M. A. Sholokhov's works. There are more than 70,000 items in the museum collection, memorial expositions are located in the Sholokhov and Bokovsky districts of the Rostov region; they almost entirely consist of authentic items. The protected landscape zone of the museum-reserve is 38,236 hectares, of which the landscape-reserve zone is 3,820 hectares.
