Mahan Air

Mahan Air as a Full-Service Carrier (FSC), was established in 1991 and began operations in June 1992 as Iran's first private airline. The name of Mahan is taken from historical city of Mahan in Kerman Province. The Airline joined the IATA in 2001. Mahan Air operates with a fleet of wide body equipment, and is the largest operator of the Airbus A340 aircraft type in Iran. Mahan Air, operates from its hub at Imam Khomeini International Airport, provides an extensive network of services within the Middle East as well as Asia and Europe. Mahan Air is serving more than 70 destinations including domestic and international routes. The airline carried nearly 5 million passengers in 2018 with an average load factor of 75% and had a fleet of 60 aircraft, making it the largest airline in Iran based on seat numbers and fleet size. The airline commenced Barcelona and Lahore services in 2017. Mahan Air pleased to have scheduled and weekly flights to Moscow from the year 2015 until present.
